Gastrointestinal Complications of Immunotherapy and Targeted Agents Prevention and Treatment Options

Learning Objectives:

  • To increase the awareness of gastrointestinal mucositis and symptoms caused by cancer therapy
  • To analyze different molecular pathways involved in the development of gastrointestinal mucositis by targeted agents and by immunotherapy and to compare them with the 2 pathogenesis of chemotherapy-induced gastrointestinal mucositis
  • To define the essential information needed by HCPs to prevent and manage GI mucositis induced by these agents
  • To discuss the needs in preclinical and clinical research in this field
