Objectives:

• Review of common tools available to assess mucositis in people with cancer
• Discuss the findings of the Delphi Survey and recommendations on mucositis assessment from the MASCC Mucositis Study Group
• Identify strategies to improve the accuracy of mucositis assessment
• Increase awareness on patient’s perspective on mucositis and how this translates into meaningful assessment tools
